You can get an extension of stay from the Immigration Office (Mon., Tues., Thurs., and Fri. 0900-1230 and 1330-1500, Wed. 0900-1230) on Salote Road east of Polynesian Airlines.

The countries with diplomatic representatives in Nuku'alofa are:

  • Germany, on Taufa'ahau Road in the alley beside Fund Management House
  • New Zealand, on Salote Road opposite the post office
  • Sweden, on Salote Road opposite the Reserve Bank of Tonga
  • China, on Vuna Road
  • The Australian High Commission (weekdays 0900-1100), on Salote Road opposite the Reserve Bank of Tonga, also represents Canadians

Britain and the United States are not represented in Tonga.
